The Dove Fire is burning east of the PCT near Kelso Valley in Kern County at a moderate rate of spread. The Bureau of Land Management requests hikers stay clear of the area between SC47 Frog Creek Rd (mile 626.5) south to SC123 Butterbredt Canyon (mile 619).
