The PCT is open, but people should monitor the nearby Austin Fire which is periodically sending thick smoke across the trail. The fire is burning west of the PCT (~mile 2060-2080) as the trail travels between Mount Jefferson and Mount Hood. Lands not far west of the PCT are closed.
