Cutthroat Pass Slide, Mile 2603

Hikers should travel with caution on the PCT ~4 miles north from Cutthroat Pass. This area of steep terrain has experienced significant rockfall over the last several seasons, leading to a narrow trail bed on loose, rocky soil over an exposed stretch of trail for about 50 to 100 feet. Land managers and PCTA are working together to find a long-term solution for safer passage in this area of rocky terrain that is notoriously difficult to maintain.
